Our Vision

Welcome. I am excited to utilize this space to engage in in-depth conversations about how Anchorage can become a community of wellness. Maybe a community of wellness feels hokey or too feel good and isn't realistic, but I ask you to pause and consider what wellness means.

Wellness as we discuss here is getting to the root problems of our community. It is digging deep and finding regenerative and equitable solutions that move all residents toward wellness.  Scarcity of resources and competing interests often drive much of the conflict and discord we experience as a community. How can we move past that? In most communications I receive from residents, the communication begins "I love Anchorage"  and then comes the but. How do we harness that love of this community to solve what follows the buts in those communications.

I do not profess to have all the answers, but I do commit to open communication and conversation and to come to this work from a place of service and keeping our mutual love of Anchorage always in mind. Now let's roll up our sleeves and get to work. Thank you for being here. We have a lot to do.
